We know everyone is talking about the clock version of the Echo Dot, but the regular 5th-gen Echo Dot is available for a mere $25 at Best Buy right now, half-off its original price. While this isn’t the best price for the Echo Dot we’ve seen, the only time we’ve seen the smart speaker selling for less was last Black Friday, and it’s unlikely to drop this low again until the next one.
While we didn’t review this exact model, we did have fun testing the Echo Dot Kids 5th Gen. However, since both carry the same hardware, we can say just how awesome the speaker is. The Kids’ version received a solid 4.5/5 stars from us and our Editors’ Choice award.
The Echo Dot 5th Gen delivers a great audio experience with clear vocals, deeper bass, and vibrant sound that fills any room despite it being fairly tiny. Place this one in your room and have it play music while you work, tell you the weather before heading out the door, turn the lights off, or settle an argument over who won more gold medals in the past three Olympics.
Alexa will be of help in many more instances, including if you want to set timers, hear jokes, or get recipes before you start cooking. You can even use it as your very own personal alarm clock in the morning.
With so many great uses and only a $25 price tag, you really should add the Echo Dot 5th Gen to your cart over at Best Buy so you can enjoy all the benefits.
The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen is down to $25
